After the first announcement of the NBA 2K21 cover stars Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) and New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson, it has been revealed that Kobe Bryant will also feature on the cover of the next instalment.
The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash earlier this year, and he will now be memorialised on the cover of the Mamba Forever editions of the game.
These will be available for both current and next gen versions, as revealed by two tweets on the official Twitter account of the game.
"Legend. Leader. Champion. We honor Kobe Bryant as our Cover Athlete for the Next Gen Mamba Forever Edition #NBA2K21," read one of the tweets.
Lillard is set to feature on the current generation covers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while Williamson will feature on the next gen covers for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
This will be the third time that Bryant is on the cover, having previously been on the cover for NBA 2K10 as well as the Legend edition of NBA 2K17.
