EA FC 24 first week player numbers revealed
EA Sports FC 24 is Electronic Arts' first football video game without the FIFA title, and it's been known since last that the games would use the EA name going forward.
Although these numbers don't directly translate to sales, the player count shows that EA FC 24 was still able to draw a large following, a good sign for EA who risked dropping numbers without the recognisable FIFA name.
EA announced that EA Sports FC 24 has reached 11.3 million players in its first week of release, that's compared to the 10.3 million that hopped onto FIFA 23 in its first week.

"In addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20 percent year-over-year," wrote EA Sports president Cam Weber, in a statement published by gamedeveloper.com.
"We are building the world's biggest football community through EA Sports FC, and we're just getting started," said Weber who added:
"We're thrilled to have so many fans jumping into The World's Game in both EA SPORTS FC 24 and FC Mobile in just the first few days since launch."
