Word reaching the Siya crew is that two clubs have set their sights on the topflight status of Richards Bay FC.

Marumo Gallants and Maritzburg United, both of whom were relegated from the DStv Premiership last season, are tussling for the Natal Rich Boyz's status.
While the KwaZulu-Natal based club has not officially been put up for sale, the crew understands that owner Sifiso 'Jomo' Biyela would be open to selling, at the right price.
According to Siya sources, Gallants are offering more than the Team of Choice at this point, though both clubs remain seriously interested in the status, the crew has been informed.
"Maritzburg and Gallants want to buy Richards Bay's status. Both clubs want to relocate and rename the club if they are successful in doing so. I've been told Gallants have offered more money than Maritzburg for the status," a well-placed source informed the crew.
This is not the first time that there has been talk of Richards Bay possibly selling their status either. When they gained promotion from the GladAfrica Championship (now known as the Motsepe Foundation Championship) there was talk that the club was for sale, although Biyela moved swiftly to dismiss it.
