Pirates Set To Loan Out Midfielder In January?

Pirates Set To Loan Out Midfielder In January?

Insiders close to the club have indicated that Richards Bay and his former club Orbit College are both interested in having Thuso Moleleki join them in January.

The sources added that the technical team is also interested in seeing the promising midfielder gain more game time and experience elsewhere for the remainder of this season.

"You know he joined in the off season from Orbit College to boost the squad and now they want him to gain experience from another team where he can play more regularly. They have seen that with the current squad it would take time before he can feature as the competition is very tough in his position," said the Siya source.

"But with a loan move next season he can come back more experienced and fight for a place in the starting team at Pirates. That's why his loan move is set for January if all goes well," the source added.

A second insider stated that two clubs have already shown interest in Moleleki for a loan move in January.

"For now it's Richards Bay United and his former club Orbit College who have shown interest in him already. There is nothing finalised with either club but it's promising from both sides and it will all depend on the talks and conditions of the loan deal. So let's wait for January and see where he would go," the second source stated.

The 24-year-old joined Pirates in July this year and signed an initial three-year contract.

Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.

So far, Moleleki hasn't featured in an official game for the club, leading to the possibility of a loan move in January. As Bucs may be preparing to loan out Moleleki in January, the move aims to provide the young midfielder with valuable game time and experience.
