The Siya crew understands SuperSport United would look into the possibility of bringing back Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa next season.
Lepasa spent the second half of last season on loan to SuperSport from Pirates and while he did not hit the back of the net on the regular basis, the club was eager to hold onto him, though they ended up signing Terrence Dzvukamanja from Pirates.
Lepasa started the season so well at Pirates and raced to 10 goals in all competitions within the first few months of the campaign, but he has not found the back of the net since September.
He has also found himself coming off the bench most of the time, with Evidence Makgopa being the preferred striker under head coach Jose Riveiro at the moment.
Despite his struggles at Pirates, the 26-year-old has been getting Bafana Bafana call-ups from head coach Hugo Broos. With Bradley Grobler heading towards the end of his career and uncertainty surrounding the future of Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Etiosa Ighodaro, SuperSport are understood to be in the market to add a striker to the squad and Lepasa is an option for the Tshwane outfit.
If Matsatsantsa qualify for continental football again next season, they are going to need to have enough in their squad to compete.
