A goalkeeper who is yet to make an official appearance for Mamelodi Sundowns appears to have moved up the pecking order at Chloorkop.
With Ronwen Williams unavailable for selection in Sundowns' clash against Stellenbosch FC last night, Denis Onyango got to start in goal as Sanele Tshabalala made the matchday squad ahead of Jody February and Reyaad Pieterse.

Tshabalala joined Sundowns last season after leaving Moroka Swallows and has been working to impress the technical team. While he continues to wait to make an official appearance, it appears he has moved up the pecking order at the club.
Sundowns have five goalkeepers in the first team and the Siya crew has been led to believe that there is a possibility of Pieterse making an exit at the end of the season, especially with younger goalkeepers Tshabalala and February seemingly being preferred.
Earlier this season, when both Williams and Onyango were not available, February got a chance to play ahead of Pieterse. Now, indications are that Tshabalala has worked his way up the pecking order and an exit has not been ruled out for Pieterse once the season comes to an end.

Sundowns, meanwhile, expect to have Williams back in the starting line-up when they take on AmaZulu in the Betway Premiership next week. Williams was at the CAF awards in Morocco earlier this week as Onyango put up a strong performance in his absence.
