According to Siya sources in the Cape, Maxim Gullit, son of Dutch legend Ruud Gullit who plays as a left-sided centre back, has impressed in his training stint with Stellenbosch, which has seen other clubs get wind of his presence in the country and are now watching his situation at Stellies closely.
It was meant to be kept under wraps, but the Siya crew has it on good authority that the 22-year-old has been training under the watchful eye of Steve Barker and his technical team.

Gullit is a free agent having parted ways with Dutch side SC Cambuur back in July 2023 – which means he is not bound by the transfer window which is currently slammed shut.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that a number of teams in the top flight are watching the player's situation with keen interest as Stellies continue to assess him.
With his father having won the 1988 European Cup with Netherlands, the young Gullit does have a deep football heritage running in his lineage as the Grandson of Henny Cruyff, Johan Cruyff's brother.
Barker will have the final say on whether Gullit will join, although a potential stumbling block for Stellies could be their foreign quota, which at the moment has reached its full capacity with the likes of Andre De Jong, Ismail Toure, Amicet Oura, Salifu Coley and Prince Amponsah all occupying five of the allocated slots.
Stellies are set to make a decision on whether to rope in the towering centre-back – though he is not short of suitors in the PSL.
