"There is interest, yes, but it's early days still. Nothing has been agreed as yet.Yes, there are talks going on but nothing has been agreed yet," Makaab told Soccer Laduma.
Though, contrasting with Makaab's cautious outlook, an insider close to SuperSport United suggests that the club is optimistic about the progression of a deal.
"The offer is good. The club is happy and the deal is expected to happen. Shandre (Campbell) is on his way to Europe and for now we can say that the deal is as good as done. Almost all the parties involved are happy with the offer on the table. Let's just wait for this week and everything will be finalised," the Siya source stated.
Campbell, who will soon turn 19 years of age, was a key player for Matsatsantsa a Pitori last season, appearing in 30 games in all competitions, scoring five goals, and providing six assists.
