Word reaching the Siya crew is that Moroka Swallows will monitor attacker Dumisani Zuma's form before deciding his long-term future at the club. This publication reported that the Dube Birds were keen on signing the former Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu FC star, and the Premier Soccer League outfit has since confirmed his arrival at the nest.
It's believed Zuma put pen to paper on a two-year deal that has several options set to be triggered at the end of the upcoming season. It is no secret that the forward has had trouble with his former clubs over ill-discipline and Swallows would have been aware of this given how publicly this played out, especially at Chiefs where Zuma was suspended for allegedly drinking under the influence of alcohol.
He was also sent for rehabilitation before his contract was terminated by the club on mutual agreement, paving the way for his move to Usuthu. Zuma only spent the previous season in Durban and has now returned to Gauteng to reunite with coach Steve Komphela, who signed him at Amakhosi in 2017.
Sources close to the situation have informed Soccer Laduma that the Dube Birds want to support Zuma and get him back to his best – so it is crucial that they monitor his form and behaviour for an agreement beyond the new season.
