The Siya crew has learnt that Moroka Swallows are set to make a decision on the future of Tanzanian attacker David Uromi. The player joined the Birds from Sudanese outfit Al Hilal in February this year. At the time, he penned a two-year deal with an option to extend for a further year.
Despite a positive start to life at the Birds under former coach Brandon Truter, making six appearances in the 11 matches before the end of the 2022/23 season, Uromi has fallen down the pecking order at the side.
With 12 league matches played this campaign Uromi is yet to feature for Steve Komphela's outfit, and was last included in the squad back in May. Now, Siya sources have informed this publication that the player does not form part of the plans in Dobsonville and indications are that he will be released from his contract early.
"Swallows have learnt not to be sentimental with players. If things are not working out, they need to release the player and it seems like he will be amongst those parting ways with the club," a source said.
