Marumo Gallants president Abram Sello has left the door open for Gabadinho Mhango to arrive or leave, confirming the player is currently on their books ahead of the new campaign.
Mhango has a year remaining on his contract which was carried over after Gallants bought Moroka Swallows and the club is expecting him back today to start preparing for the 2024/25 campaign. According to Sello, Mhango requested Gallants to buy him a flight ticket from his home country Malawi back to South Africa.

As previously reported by the Siya crew, Mhango has attracted interest from Chippa United, with the Chilli Boys believed to have contacted the player's camp over a possible move.
Sello, however, confirmed that they have not received any offers for the player's services, but has not ruled out an exit for the striker who netted eight times in all competitions for the Dube Birds last term.
"I have not received any communication for him. I see in the media. Gabadinho was at home. As you know, he is Malawian. He contacted our club to get a flight ticket (back), he might be here tomorrow (Wednesday). He is going to be with us, until further notice," Sello said to media, after revealing the club's plans in a press conference held in Sandton, Johannesburg.

"But we got that particular ticket for him to come down here and he consented to play with us, unless you come up with a better offer and he agrees to that. It's a democratic system and we will take it as it comes, but for now he is our player and he is number one on our striking list."
