11 Possible Sundowns & Pirates Exits After Cup Final

There will be a number of players heading out at Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates after the Nedbank Cup final, as farewells loom in both camps.

The two giants are set to lock horns at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, a second cup final meeting between the sides this season after facing off in the MTN8 decider during the first half of the campaign. Ahead of the final, the Siya crew looks at the players who are likely to leave afterwards.

Sammy Seabi: The midfielder looks set to depart Chloorkop following a difficult season spent either in the stands or the bench. The former Polokwane City midfielder has made four appearances this season and indications are that he will leave permanently this time.

Abubeker Nasir: The Ethiopian is currently not registered, but remains a Sundowns player. A career threatening injury has put his future in doubt, with Sundowns expected make an announcement on what happens next with the player in the near future.

Kermit Erasmus: Game time has been hard to come by for Erasmus, who is not expected to feature in the Nedbank Cup. As things stand, the former Mamelodi Sundowns forward is heading for the exit door, with Cape Town City a possible destination.

Thabang Monare: The midfielder's contract is set to expire at the end of June and the Siya crew has it on good authority that he is leaving, with SuperSport United looking to bring him in.

Zakhele Lepasa: He started the season so well, but things have changed drastically for the striker and the Siya crew has been led to believe that there is a possibility of an exit. SuperSport and Sekhukhune United are understood to be monitoring his situation.

Souaibou Marou: The Cameroonian striker has struggled for game time and indications are that he will be saying goodbye come the end of the season. With just four appearances this season, the Buccaneers look set to part ways with the striker and open up a foreign spot.

Fortune Makaringe: He's another one who has been struggling to get into the team and word reaching the Siya crew is that there is no shortage of interest in the player. Makaringe looks set to leave the Buccaneers, with just 14 appearances in all competitions to his name.

Bandile Shandu: Chippa United are believed to be one of the clubs interested in Shandu, who could be heading out after the Nedbank Cup. With the Buccaneers looking to bring in Kegan Johannes from SuperSport and the expected return of Thabiso Lebitso from injury by the time pre-season starts, Shandu's chances of playing regularly are slim.

Azola Matrose: A loan deal could be on the cards for the 21-year-old, who has not made an appearance for the Soweto giants this season.

Relebohile Mofokeng: The youngster is attracting interest in Europe and it would not come as a surprise if he were to leave in the upcoming transfer window.
