After another disappointing result in the CAF Champions League group stages over the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to make a big announcement.
Sundowns have called a press conference to be held at their headquarters in Chloorkop at 13h00 today, and it's understood that there could be changes to the technical team, the Siya crew has been informed.

Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi was appointed before the start of the campaign following the departure of Rulani Mokwena, but it's been a difficult start for him in the role. Sundowns may be top of the Betway Premiership standings, but things have not gone so well for them in the domestic knockout competitions.
They were knocked out by Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 semi-finals and suffered one of the biggest upsets in PSL history when they were beaten in the Carling Knockout final by rookies Magesi FC.
The defeat to Magesi was followed up by a lacklustre goalless draw at home against DRC outfit Maniema Union in the Champions League group stages. Sundowns were then held to a 1-1 draw by AS FAR after taking the lead in Morocco this past weekend. The two draws make it Sundowns' worst start to a group stage campaign since 2018.

The Siya crew had already reported on the danger Mngqithi was facing after the clash against Maniema and now there is a possibility that a new addition could be made to the technical team.
The Siya crew has since been informed who the Brazilians' new coach could be.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
