As previously reported by the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena might have wanted changes to his technical team, and this was related to how it would effect the futures of Steve Komphela and potentially Manqoba Mngqithi.
Now, with the departure of assistant coach Komphela to Swallows FC already, that change could have been in line with the Brazilians' long term plan.

A Siya source very close to Sundowns has indicated that their set-piece coach, Michael Loftman could take over as assistant coach in place of Komphela.
"It's complicated at the moment. Tensions are high and imminent changes will take place," said the Siya source.
"Even before coach Steve (Komphela) left there were already talks that Loftman will become the assistant coach. Yesterday (Sunday) there was another meeting concerning the same issue of Loftman becoming the assistant coach. It's clear he is set for that position and the job as it stands now," the source told the Siya crew.
Meanwhile, a different source added that the position of first team coach Mngqithi is also not clear as the club probably haven't decided whether he will become an assistant coach or remain in his current position.
"Then there is the issue of Manqoba. Does he take over as assistant coach because he is very familiar with the team? Or he will he remain first team coach? They couldn't come up with a solution in that meeting.
"But with Steve (Komphela) gone, we will not be surprised that Manqoba will follow suit and the plan for the coach to have a new-look technical team could be fulfilled. Let's wait before the end of the week. Something will happen," added the source.
The Siya crew had contacted Sundowns but no comment was received while preparing this story.
