Kaizer Chiefs could be interested in signing a European striker who recently played against Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, the Siya crew has been informed.
This may be the case despite interim coach Cavin Johnson having already stated that he is confident with his squad and might not bolster it.

Siya sources close to the club have indicated that the player Chiefs could have inquired about is Slovakia international striker Robert Polievka who is currently participating in his home country for the first team of MFK Dukla Banska Bystrica.
The source added that Chiefs may be interested to sign the 27-year-old in January or at the start of next season.
"There will be changes in terms of playing personnel. It could be this transfer window period or at the end of the season but Robert (Polievka) is one of the players that the team is already looking at. This is not the first time as three years ago the scouts identified him but things didn't work out because he was changing teams," said the Siya source.
"But now they have reopened their interest as their European connections and scouts are working on that. So, yes, these are some pointers on the renewed interest in Robert (Polievka) from the club," the source informed Soccer Laduma.
A second Siya source has informed Soccer Laduma that forward players currently at the club could be released to open up space for the possible arrival of Polievka.
"What I am not sure of is when it could happen. Is it for this January transfer window period or at the end of the season? But the interest is there from the club. The last time they wanted him he was still young but he has grown now both as a player and a person so they feel it could be the right time to bring him in," the Siya source stated.
The last time Chiefs were linked with the Slovakian striker was under former head coach Stuart Baxter but the transfer didn't work out and Amakhosi ended up signing South African star Keagan Dolly instead.
This season in the Nike Liga, the Slovak first league, Polievka has scored 10 goals in 18 games while providing six assists for Banska Bystrica.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but no response was received while preparing this story.
