Word reaching the Siya crew is that Kaizer Chiefs and Bruce Bvuma have agreed an extension of his stay at Naturena, in principle. The ball was always in the club's court anyway regarding the goalkeeper's future.
An option for one season was added in the agreement between the two parties when the net minder signed a two-year deal back in January 2022. But due to a lack of game-time recently and essentially being relegated to the club's third-choice slot, there have been doubts over whether Bvuma will still be an Amakhosi player next season.
Indications are that the Leratong-born star has been given a verbal commitment that the club will exercise his one-year option to keep him at the side he joined in 2017 after leaving Bidvest Wits, where he first cut his teeth.
Soccer Laduma understands that despite the 28-year-old's lack of game-time, he still forms part of the Glamour Boys' plans, with the Soweto giants having no intention of parting ways with the lanky shot-stopper anytime soon.
A worry for Bvuma, however, would be his lack of minutes this season, having yet to feature in a single match, with Itumeleng Khune and Brandon Petersen sharing the number one jersey up to this point.
