"I am a resident of Pretoria but I frequently visit the area. And you know, many years ago there was an agreement between the Gauteng Provincial government, Mogale City, Lefika (Emerging) Equity and Kaizer Chiefs to develop the stadium with an amount of around R1 billion which could rise up to R3 billion with inflation but that hasn't happened because all the involved parties failed to raise that money," Jacobs told the Siya crew.
The DA MP further stated, "And the stadium is now in a bad space. It's an example of a promise of a public project that never came to fulfillment. What needs to be done now is to renovate the stadium as it's one of the best around the area and it was amongst the top five for cycling in the world. So, my concern is to see the stadium being restored. In 2021 when the DA was in power in Mogale City we tried to restore the stadium and that's what we want to see. There is no need to be fruitless engaging in some attempt for a legacy project that won't happen," Jacobs added.

The Siya crew subsequently did some digging with sources at Naturena.
The insider has indicated that they don't find Jacobs' social media post to be relevant to the club anymore, as it was an old project that ultimately didn't materialise.
"This story died long ago. Not sure what the guy is trying to do. There is no story here. Someone is just trying to be relevant with something which is not relevant at this moment at all," the Chiefs insider told the Siya crew.
Soccer Laduma also contacted Chiefs for an official comment on the stadium but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
While talk on the proposed stadium resurfaced via the DA Member of Parliament which has stirred attention on social media this week, Chiefs appear to have moved on, currently using FNB Stadium as their primary home ground.
