Soccer Laduma has learned that Chippa United have acted quickly to ensure that striker Bienvenu Eva Nga remains at the club for at least another season.
The Cameroonian striker joined the Chilli Boys before the close of the January transfer window after leaving Orlando Pirates, signing a contract until the end of the season. The deal included an option to extend for a season. It has now been confirmed that the Eastern Cape outfit has decided to exercise that option on the big striker.
"Eva is staying at Chippa. They have exercised the option in his contract," confirmed the player's agent Charles Domingos.
This is a big boost for the technical team at Chippa, who can start planning for next season knowing that they have one of their most danger- ous players in the team.
Nga was a threat in attack for opposition teams, using his big frame to make a nuisance of himself in the opponents' box.
The striker finished the season with four goals and four assists for the Chilli Boys and will be itching to improve on these numbers when the new season gets underway.
Chippa are also keen on holding onto Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele, who has been on loan at the club. A decision on his future will be announced in the coming weeks.
