As reported by the crew, Chiefs asked the Zimbabwean to take a 60% pay cut to remain at the club for a further year; however, the player was seemingly not happy with the tabled offered and did not respond to any of the club's advances.
With no public appearances or statements from either parties in weeks, Siya sources have provided an update with regards to the player's situation.
The crew understands that Billiat has been hard at work in Johannesburg, where he has been training with his former Kaizer Chiefs teammate Cole Alexander and his countryman Evans Rusike – both of whom are clubless at the moment.
"Khama is focused on his fitness and has been training in Joburg – but because he is staying out of the public eye, I'd rather not say where, but he is with Cole and Rusike who are pushing him really hard," the source informed the crew.
With regards to the player's future, the source informed the crew that there are a number of offers on the table for the player both locally and abroad, although the player is yet to decide on his future.
"Yes, there are offers for Khama. His next club will have to tick all the boxes in terms of the environment and the financial aspect because he still has a lot of football to play, so this decision will not be made in a hurry, he is not desperate," the source continued.
