Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs striker Katlego Killer Mphela has given his opinion on the performances of Sekhukhune United captain and midfielder Linda Mntambo.
'Figo' spent months on the sidelines, due to a career threatening injury and Mphela believes many players both young and old can learn from the player's determination.

The Bafana Bafana legend said, speaking to the Siya crew, that Mntambo has displayed a fighting spirit which lacks in most players in South Africa.
"You see the captain of Sekhukhune United (Linda Mntambo). Many players should learn from him. That guy has shown determination, dedication, commitment and discipline in what he has done. Look at how long he was out with injury but he came but strong and scored in his first game back from injury. You need such players in our football. Players who respect the game. His influence on the other players is also very important, you can see it. The young players but even the old ones must learn a thing or two from him," Mphela observed.

The legend is of the opinion that Mntambo is like a new signing and the club will benefit from his return.
"If you look at how he came back from injury it's like he is a new signing. He was out for a long time and many had forgotten about him and he played his first game like a player who had just signed for the team and was hungry to prove himself. That's the commitment I am talking about. Though he has just played few games fur the club since coming back from injury, he is one of the outstanding players for me this season for how he has come back and showed that he can still do it," Mphela concluded.
Sekhukhune's next game is the DStv Premiership league encounter against Orlando Pirates on 30th March at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
