News reaching the Siya crew is that Bafana Bafana defender Siyanda Xulu could be closing in on a move to Turkey.
It was recently revealed by this publication that the experienced defender had been assessing his options regarding his possible next move, which would see him end his stay with Azerbaijani outfit Turan-Tovuz after one year.
The former Kaizer Chiefs man attracted interest from Turkey and Serbia, following his impressive performances for Azerbaijani side. He has also been influential for Bafana Bafana in their successful Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign achieved under Hugo Broos in March.
Soccer Laduma has learnt from close sources that an unnamed club from Turkey has made notable progress in the chase for the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs player.
"Discussions are at an advanced stage and personal terms could soon be finalised for Siyanda Xulu with a team in Turkey," said a source.
"There is also a club from Serbia and the team's officials have been in touch, but 'Magazi' (Xulu) has a preference for Turkey and priority will be given on the Turkish deal," the source added.
