PSL Move Is An Option For Overseas-Based SA Striker

PSL Move Is An Option For Overseas-Based SA Striker

A switch to the Absa Premiership could be a possibility for an overseas-based South African striker during the January transfer window.

Having spent more than two years in abroad since joining KS Proch Pionki in Poland in 2017, former Kaizer Chiefs youngster Andile 'Eto'o' Nqabeni is considering a return to Mzansi to join a PSL club in his next move.

Nqabeni, 26, has just seen his contract with Romanian outfit LPS Cetate Deva come to an end, and while he has offers there, he is currently assessing his options regarding a possible return to Mzansi.

"I am in South Africa at the moment and assessing my options, because it would be nice to come back home to further my career," Nqabeni told the Siya crew.

"I do have options there to join clubs. However, like I say, joining a club in the PSL would be nice for me at this stage of my career. I would love to get an opportunity in the PSL, and I am using the January transfer window to look for options this side to see what I can get, or else I will be going back overseas," the Qumbu-born player adds.

Nqabeni has previously also played in Portugal in his career, for SC Estrela Portalegre. He is a product of Chiefs' development, having been on the club's books from 2007 until 2013, while he also had stints with SuperSport United and Moroka Swallows, among other clubs.
