Mosimane has had a busy few days in South Africa.
Just last week, it was announced that he had terminated his contract as head coach of Al Ahli Jeddah. Thereafter, he spent the next few days having a hands-on approach with his Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools project, before penning a deal with the UAE-based outfit.
As has been the case whenever the 58-year-old joins a new club, rumours have been flying wild about Mosimane signing a South African player, this time it is Serero, who has spent the last four years in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking to the Siya crew at the Curro Meridian School in Cosmo City, Mosimane addressed talk that he would be making 'Cream' his first signing at his new club.
"No, I'm not signing Serero now, not yet," he said.
"I haven't sat with the people on the table. I signed a contract [last Saturday] night. How could I talk about a team where I haven't signed a contract [yet]? I had to be professional, and I also had to wait for the team to announce before I say anything, I can't jump the gun.
"At that time, a lot of things were said, a lot of things needed to be done but we waited for the team," he explained.
Mosimane is expected to arrive in Al Wahda on Monday this week, where he will officially assume his duties as the club's head coach, with a trip to Serbia on 1 July, the first item on his agenda.
