He's been linked with a return to South Africa every transfer window in the last few years, and it looks as though Knowledge Musona could be on the move again this month.
The Zimbabwean star has endured a tough time at Anderlecht since his move from KV Oostende, spending part of last season out on loan with Sporting Lokeren before returning to fight for his place in the 2019/20 campaign.
Things haven't improved for the attacker though, and his last game was at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt when the Warriors went up against the Democratic Republic of Congo, and his agent has admitted that they need to 'get him out' of his current situation if possible.
While rumours have been swirling around regarding a return to the Absa Premiership with Mamelodi Sundowns - and Pitso Mosimane has admitted that he'd love to have him on board – there is interest in Belgium for the 29-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs forward and it is thought that his first preference is to remain in Europe at this point in time.
Speaking to the crew, Makaab said, "I'll be travelling to Belgium this month to sit down with Anderlecht to discuss the way forward... Knowledge needs to be playing, and we're going to look for a way to get him out so he can do that.
"There's been plenty of interest in Belgium, but it all depends on what happens with Anderlecht. We want to get him out, but he's a professional and if they say no then he'll see out his contract and he'll keep working hard and wait things out."
Anderlecht paid good money for Musona when they brought him in from Oostende in 2018 and are likely to be reticent to make too much of a loss on the attacker, however there is a chance that, if a mutual agreement can be reached, then a return to Mzansi is not completely out of the question.
