A European-based centre-back will not be returning to Mzansi, despite a club here keen on his services.
It was reported in the previous months by the Siya crew that Cape Town City were looking to snap up Ajax Amsterdam's Dean Solomons who currently plies his trade for the U21 side.
The 20-year-old is currently in the final six months of his contract in the Netherlands and while it is believed that the Dutch giants would not be extending his stay, a move back home may be off the cards this month.
Solomons made his breakthrough in Europe through the ranks of Ajax Cape Town, where he left for Amsterdam in July 18.
However the South African's time with the Netherlands side is nearing its end and while he will be out of contract come June 30, this year, sources have revealed that the player's first choice will be to remain in Europe.
Solomons' teammate, Leo Thethani, has previously been linked with a move to Italian giants, AC Milan and it remains to be seen whether a move elsewhere for both these youngsters will materialize at the end of the season.
