Today could be a day to remember for one South African football star as a debut in Europe seems on the cards.
Thembi Kgatlana completed arguably the biggest move of the transfer window with regards to Mzansi when she made the switch to SL Benfica in Portugal, with the Banyana Banyana attacker penning a deal with the Portuguese giants last week.
Now, with her new side facing SC Braga later this afternoon, the Siya crew has been informed that the 23-year-old year has travelled with the team for their Taça de Liga tie and could be set to make her debut.
Luís Andrade will have to make a decision before kick off at 17h30 (local) whether Kgatlana will make the starting XI or not, but the club have spoken of their high hopes for Banyana's World Cup hero.
Benfica are flying in the Campeonato Nacional this season as they chase a league title and qualification to next year's UEFA Women's Champions League - though they will be chasing any silverware that is available before that.
