A Bafana Bafana international midfielder is grateful for the progress he is making in his career after joining a new club abroad.
After it had been expected that a move back to the Absa Premiership could be an option for Ayanda Patosi, following his loan stint in the United Arab Emirates with FC Baniyas from Cape Town City, the midfielder completed another loan move with Foolad FC in Iran in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

The Khayelitsha-born player previously played in Iran during his loan stint with Esteghlal from January – June 2019, before moving to Baniyas at the start of the current campaign.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder will still have two more years on his deal with City at the end of the current season.

Taking to social media, the Bafana international confirmed his delight and promised commitment to his new club.
"I'm grateful to Foolad FC for giving me this opportunity, I will fight on and off the field until the end," Patosi tweeted.
