Bafana Bafana head coach, Molefi Ntseki revealed how he welcomed the news of the U23 side qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
Head Coach David Notoane's side ended off the Africa Cup Of Nations campaign in third place after defeating Ghana in the third/fourth place play-offs.
The U23 side will now head off to Tokyo next year, where they will take part in the prestigious summer Olympic games.
Speaking to the South African Football Association, the senior national team head coach, Ntseki revealed his reaction to the news.
"I was a lunatic for almost 100 minutes because the way I behaved where I was watching the game, I behaved like a coach who was in Egypt and I behaved like a supporter," Ntseki said.
"I just want to share that because I was so happy, my happiness comes from what we have been going through all these years, coming in to this Olympic team, these are the players we have worked with before. So there was so much attachment to see the team qualify for the Olympics and that made me feel very happy and I am very happy for the boys and the technical team."
"Vision 2022 started in 2014 with these boys and now we see a positive rollout plan," he added.
