Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has not been part of Royal AM's pre-season preparations, but head coach John Maduka expects him to be with the club in the coming weeks as they struggle with a transfer ban.
Jele, who signed a short-term deal with Royal AM last season, has been training on his own and his future with the club has been up in the air, with a lot of uncertainty surrounding it. Maduka, however, appears to believe that the player is still part of the club and will make a return in the near future.

Royal AM have been hit with a transfer ban due to their refusal to pay Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic and it now seems they may have to get Jele back into the team to ensure they have enough depth in the squad to get through what's expected to be a difficult campaign for the KZN outfit.
"Happy is still contracted with the team. He has not joined the team yet. We thought that maybe there will be some players that we bring in, but Happy is a professional. Yes, he didn't play so many games when he came, but in a short space of time, there are many things he did for the players. For now, he has not been training with the team. That's the situation with Happy," Maduka told the Siya crew during the launch of the new DStv Premiership season at Multichoice City on Wednesday afternoon.
"We will check. He is one player that we cannot hesitate (with) whenever we need him, especially if our situation (of the transfer ban) remains the way it is."
