Richards Bay caretaker coach Ronnie Gabriel felt the side put in a good performance against Mamelodi Sundowns despite ending up on the losing side.
Sundowns secured a 2-0 win over the Natal Rich Boyz, who have suffered their eight defeat of the Betway Premiership season.
Gabriel was happy with the collective effort but lamented the missed chances throughout the clash, pointing out the difference in quality between the two sides.

"I think today was a good performance by the group, we were just unfortunate we missed numerous goal-scoring chances but in terms of the energy and the chances created (can't fault players)," Gabriel said on SuperSport.
"We feel we just have a little bit to do on the defensive side of our game and maybe stop those opportunities from being scored against us and we should be fine.
"The quality in the final third that Sundowns has, it gave them the edge when they scored those two goals against the run of play but otherwise we had a fair amount of chances to score, to get something out of today's game.
"It was twice (We hit the woodwork), once upright and one crossbar, when it's that type of a game these things happen, we were pushing for the equaliser and something was bound to happen on the other side. These things happen when you're chasing the goal," Gabriel added.
