Referees and coaches are under pressure while a deadly new front three at Mamelodi Sundowns, were the major talking points over the past weekend, as the Betway Premiership produced lots of drama and action on the pitch.
The big match of the weekend between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns had all the ingredients of an exciting game. From poor refereeing decisions, to the whole issue of an iPad on the Amakhosi bench, as well as the goals, it's definitely a clash many won't forget any time soon.

Referees under fire
The officials for the Chiefs and Sundowns match, led by Sikhumbuzo Gasa, have come under-fire for the decisions that were made, particularly with Sundowns' opening goal which looked to have been offside, as Nasreddine Nabi questioned the referee for his decision. The Amakhosi technical team were forced to remove a device they were using to watch the action on the pitch from, as the drama continued on the day.
Sundowns find new front three combo?
Sundowns have previously had the explosive three man partnership of Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly, popularly known as the 'CBD', and they now have a new three-man combination upfront. Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Tashreeq Matthews and Iqraam Rayners were a thorn in the Chiefs defence, combining to launch a comeback after going a goal down.
AmaZulu TS Galaxy coaches on thin ice?
AmaZulu finished 10th last season and president Sandile Zungu is well known for being a man of high standards. So, as time goes and results are not forthcoming, Pablo Franco Martin will be facing even more pressure in the hot seat. Usuthu's defeat to Marumo Gallants was their third in a row and the coach is believed to be on thin ice at the moment. Another coach under pressure is Sead Ramovic, who has suffered three straight defeats with Galaxy. Ramovic, however, is believed to have the backing of management having previously had good seasons with the Rockets and it's understood that they could exercise some patience with him.

Mhango on the wrong side of the law
Videos have been doing the rounds on social media of Gallants striker Gabadinho Mhango, who is alleged to have hit another vehicle. This was after Gallants' victory over AmaZulu and the club could take disciplinary action against the Malawian attacker.
Pirates learning to do things late
In three of their Premiership matches so far, Orlando Pirates have come up with late goals to secure victory. Kabelo Dlamini curled in a beauty in the final 10 minutes of the game to seal a 1-0 victory over Richards Bay away from home. The Buccaneers needed a stoppage time winner from Monnapule Saleng in their opening match of the campaign against Chippa United and now scored two goals in the final five minutes in the 3-0 win over Polokwane City.
