Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has made a plea to the supporters to make Orlando Stadium a fortress after his first season at the club came full circle in a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United.
Riveiro started his reign at Pirates at Orlando Stadium back in August last year in a narrow 1-0 win over Swallows and played his last game of the season on home soil after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sekhukhune United this past weekend.

The Spanish mentor reflected on his first season at the Soweto giants and says it has been a 'privilege' to experience the atmosphere at the 'historic' Orlando Stadium.
"For the ones who are used to coming to the stadium, I just can say thank you for the support, it has been such an experience for me to be part of the games here, in a historic place like Orlando Stadium," Riveiro said in a press conference.
"It's a privilege, for me, for the players, to have the opportunity to come every morning and work for this club knowing the amount of people behind us, it's something very special.
"And when we come to Orlando, the regular people, the people who are used to coming every game, we really appreciate. Sometimes they are critical, we have to accept it because they want to see good football, they want to see good results," he said.

The Vigo native tactician continued and challenged Pirates fans to come in their numbers, especially in important games like when they faced Sekhukhune looking to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
"What I would like also is to see the stadium packed. We played an important game (against Sekhukhune), I'm hoping to see in these type of games that our fans understand that we need them, we can fill up two Orlando stadiums, you know what I mean," he said.
"But for the ones that are regularly coming, probably they are very much the same ones, it was very nice the way they helped us during the season. I started here my first game against Swallows, with a 1-0 victory and they really helped us all the way," he added.
