Orlando Pirates are understood to be working hard behind the scenes to secure the services of a Stellenbosch FC defender.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Pirates have been monitoring former Mamelodi Sundowns development product Thabo Moloisane some time.

Insiders close to both the player and the club have now revealed that the Houghton-based side are in need of another central defender for next season and discussions are believed to be underway regarding the player.
"As far as defenders are concerned. Pirates' main target is Thabo (Moloisane) and that's why they are set to table an offer for him. They are looking at strengthening the central defence as they are looking at having a strong backline next season where they will compete in almost all the competitions including the CAF Champions League. Moloisane has grown as a player. He is playing in Africa with Stellenbosch and Pirates are looking at that as an advantage to sign him," a source revealed to the Siya crew.

Indications are that Pirates are looking to reinforce both their left and right-back positions as part of their defensive overhaul.
"You know the club is also looking at right back and left back," the source concluded.
Moloisane, 26, joined Stellenbosch in 2023, and in his first season, he played 27 games. This season, he has already featured in 17 matches for the club.
The Siya crew reached out to Pirates for comment, but attempts were unsuccessful.
