Orlando Pirates head coach says they have to get used to playing too many matches in a short space of time as they brace themselves to get back to either one of the CAF tournaments next season.
Pirates had two less days of rest ahead of the previous Nedbank Cup semi-final Soweto derby, compared to Chiefs.
The Buccaneers also had to contend with extra-time for the third time in the competition after edging Amakhosi 2-1 over the weekend and Riveiro says they have to get used to a tight schedule, as they are set to return to either one of the continental tournaments next season.

The Sea Robbers currently occupy second place on the log, two points ahead of third-placed SuperSport United and are already guaranteed to finish either in second or third place, as they are six points ahead of fourth-placed Chiefs, with two games to go.
"We know it's gonna be, hopefully next season our situation to play permanently. The players like to play, you ask the players, they would rather play every three days and train less, especially when we're at this moment of the season," Riveiro said in a press conference.
"In the beginning is difficult because you have to implement, produce adaptations in our players tactically, conditionally but at this point of the season even we as coaches we just want to play.
"The team is now in a good moment in everything, there are moments when we can show it, there are moments where we cannot because everybody is playing for important things," he said.

The Spanish coach went on and explained that they don't have a problem of playing every three days and that he was not going to complain if they were knocked out by Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup.
"But we understand that next season is gonna be like that, with long trips, with short times to rest but if you can play every three days I think it's fine. It's good for the fans because you can manage to have a decent rhythm in a game," he continued.
"It's good for the players because the risk of injuries is not that high. It's good for us as coaches because we have time enough to feel that we can make an influence in the game.
"But two days (rest) is not good enough, there is a physiological reason that support my opinion in this case. But we don't complain. In case we didn't get the result (in Nedbank Cup against Chiefs) I'm not gonna come here and say 'we didn't have enough time'," he added.
