Despite the 1-0 win over SuperSport United, Pirates are still in third position on the Premiership log and Buccaneers coach Jose Reveiro, has said every game will be like a cup final, as the side hopes to finish the league in second place.
"We will play finals until the end in the league, in the Nedbank Cup. Every game is going to be crucial for all of us. The ones playing for relegation and the ones playing for top positions with the possibility of playing in Africa next season, Riveiro said in a press conference ahead of the clash against SuperSport United, which took place over the weekend.
"It goes without saying that for Pirates there are more teams playing for same objectives like us and SuperSport United is one with more advantage. Like I said this is an opportunity to make sure that our immediate opponent is not getting the three points.
"When we are not playing them, we are expecting that they don't get the three points from the games they are playing. This time is our opportunity to do it ourselves and don't lose that opportunity to reduce the the gap. It is as simple as that," the Spaniard concluded.
