Orlando Pirates have emerged as favourites in race for the signature of Golden Arrows and Bafana Bafana winger Pule Mmodi, the Siya crew can reveal.
As reported by the Siya crew, Mmodi is one of the names expected to headline the January transfer window as the attacking midfielder has been linked with both Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates, among other clubs.

The Bafana international will see his Abafana Bes'thende contract expire in June and with him reluctant to extend his stay, the Lamontville-based outfit is willing to listen to offers for a chance to make some cash and avoid losing him on a free.
According to sources, the Buccaneers are stepping up their efforts and are preparing a bid to possibly land the 29-year-old.
"Pirates are the favourites and Arrows are willing to sell because they don't want to lose the player on a free," said the source.

"Something is going to happen within the next few days and while the boy's wish has been to play for Chiefs, don't be surprised if he ends up at Pirates," the source concluded.
Mmodi has scored four goals so far this season, and while AmaZulu appeared to be the front runners for his signature at some point, Bucs are believed to be in the lead at this point in time.
Meanwhile, Arrows have confirmed signing Ntsako Makhubela on loan from Pirates in what sources believe could be another way of sweetening the deal for Mmodi to move the opposite direction.
