Orlando Pirates have been charged by the Premier Soccer League and the date for the club's appearance before the PLS's disciplinary committee has been confirmed.
As Pirates defeated Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 in their second leg MTN8 semi-final match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, some of the fans invaded the pitch in celebration of the victory.

The PSL has since confirmed that the Soweto giants have been charged for the supporters' misbehaviour and are set to appear before the League's DC on November 14.

"I can confirm that Orlando Pirates Football Club has been charged for spectator misbehaviour arising from the pitch invasion of their spectators in the semi-final match between themselves and Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club. They will appear before the PSL DC on the 14th of November 2022 at 10:30. Thereafter, I will update you further on the outcome of those proceedings," confirmed Zola Majavu, who is the PSL's prosecutor.
