After his recent revelation that he was once told by a match official to take Makhehleni Makhaula and Ben Motshwari to a big and better league, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sipho Khuse has revealed more about his close relationship with the two hardworking midfielders.
Khuse – a development coach and talent scout, worked with Makhaula and Motshwari at Gauteng-based third tier club Trabzon before the duo turned professional with Bidvest Wits and Free State Stars, respectively, and the mentor says he once pictured the two bossing the Orlando Pirates midfield and is happy that one of them has so far succeeded in doing that.

With the two players doing duty for AmaZulu and the Buccaneers in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively, Khuse is proud of his two products who continue to inspire the younger players at his Randfontein-based team.
"Just to tell you more about Makhehleni Makhaula and Ben Motshwari from when I worked with them at Trabzon, and in doing this I hope I am not getting myself into trouble, but it was just my prediction from back then. I told them that I pictured them playing alongside each other at Pirates. I don't know why, but I just pictured them playing alongside each other in Pirates midfield and they know that because I told them. Why I said that, don't ask me, because I don't know, but it was like what you can call a prophecy. But as you know, it happened that Ben ended up signing for Pirates from Wits. I know that as a youngster, Makhaula had a wish to play for one of the big clubs, but we don't know what the future holds for him," said Khuse, speaking to the Siya crew.

"What I am happy about at the moment is to see both these boys competing not only in the PSL but also in the CAF competitions for their respective teams. I look at them and feel very proud because the future looks bright for them," the mentor added.
