The Spanish tactician reveals that Miguel Timm and Bandile Shandu's withdrawals were due to injury, but praised the players that came on in the second half.
"Yes, Shandu he was having problems all week, he made a huge effort to be here and play for the team but he couldn't make it more than 45 (minutes)," Riveiro told SuperSport after the game.
"And same with Miguel (Timm), he's a fighter but in the first-half he was not at his best and we decided not to take a risk. We're lucky because whoever we bring from the bench is a quality player, we changed Miguel but we played (Ndabayithethwa) Ndlondlo.
"We changed Shandu, we have (Craig) Martin so all of them are very involved, they are ready, they are training well and are performing as they did in the second half."
The Spanish mentor went on to suggest that he was not happy with the performance but very happy with the result, as they desperately need points.
"No we're not, like I said this is a scoring game, today we were the ones who scored the three (goals), we take the advantage, we have to be happy and grow from this result," he added
"Last week we grew from the performance, today, like I said we didn't play consistently as we we would like, we will get there but the result is also important. We need to reduce the distance with the teams who are at this moment in the top, these three points are gonna help us to face the next one with more confidence and hopefully with a better performance than tonight."
