Orlando Pirates chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza, has spoken highly about arguably the best coach from Mzansi at present Pitso Mosimane and his work ethic, and the PSL chairman is being seconded on his sentiments.
Earlier in the week, Mosimane was in attendance as a special guest at an event where Nedbank handed over a sports court at Lofentse Girls High School in Orlando East.
The event also formed part of the proceedings by Pirates as the winners of the Nedbank Cup last season to give back to the community.
Khoza said Mosimane should be celebrated in South African football for his achievements and work ethic and legendary coach Walter Raumann who understands the local game like the palm of his hand agrees.
The Good
"I was very close to Pitso when I was playing in Germany. I nearly took Pitso to Germany when he was playing in Greece. Pitso wanted me to coach in his soccer schools. He had an operation at a hospital and my wife works there, and he told her that he wanted me to coach there. But then, he was so busy as he went to Egypt then Saudi Arabia and I didn't get a chance to met him, unfortunately. But Pitso is a very good coach and he has proved himself all over now. He is doing a lot for soccer in the country. With all the money he is making, he is putting it back because I can't remember anyone who is investing on soccer schools with their money other than him. He is doing a great job for the country. That's fantastic on him," said Rautmann.
The Bad
"I always talk about coaching in South Africa and most of the coaches only move around between Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. Those are the big teams with the best facilities and players. Those teams have got options on the bench and they can make two national teams. It's very easy to coach there. You've got the best players, money and everything there. I coached a team that was at the bottom of the league and in 12 games I had to change everything. I had to make a winning team in two weeks and not in two years," the coach said.
The Ugly
"Pitso deserves all the praise because he is doing a great job. People might have thought that just because he was at Sundowns it was easy for him to do the job because he had the best players there, but now he has proved himself at the other countries and that's what makes him a great coach. He did what he did at Sundowns in Egypt and also in Saudi Arabia and all over. He is a fantastic coach and all praise to him," concluded the veteran coach.
