Ghabadinho Mhango Is Arguably Orlando Pirates' Top Signing Of The 2019/20 Season

In the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Orlando Pirates had 11 new arrivals which were made up of nine new signings, a player coming from loan and another one promoted from the development, and as the club's top goal-scorer Gabadinho Mhango finished the campaign as arguably the top performer out of all the signings.

Mhango's goals have helped Pirates to finish in third place on the log and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.

Another player who joined Pirates this season and did well in scoring goals for the team is Tshegofatsho Mabasa, although he struggled for regular game time in the second half of the campaign under Josef Zinnbauer.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic man finished the campaign on 7 goals and will be looking to build from his impressive start next season.

Fortune Makaringe is another star who has enjoyed a great first season with the Buccaneers, having amassed a whopping 24 starts in the league and was one of the first names in the German coach's team sheets.

Bucs had Zakhele Lepasa coming back from a loan stint with TS Galaxy and a lot had been expected from the young forward after he helped the second-tier outfit to win the Nedbank Cup title last year, but the 23-year-old struggled for game time as he made his only league start in the penultimate fixture of the season.

South African youth international Thabiso Monyane, who was promoted from development at the beginning of the season, finished the season on nine starts under his name.

Having struggled for game time for the better part of the season, Siphesihle Ndlovu was handed a run in Zinnbauer's team during the bio-bubble, and the former Maritzburg United midfielder came to the party as he produced Man of the Match performance back-to-back in the last two games of the season.
