Azola Tshobeni could be nearing an opportunity to make his mark at Orlando Pirates after his return from a loan spell with JDR Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been working hard to earn his place in coach Jose Riveiro's competitive squad, and recent indications suggest he may soon get his chance.

Tshobeni, who first joined JDR Stars on loan in 2021, completed his third stint with the club last season, where he impressed with his performances.
His contributions did not go unnoticed, with JDR Stars coach Nditsheni Nemasisi praising his development and growth.
Since graduating from the Pirates development ranks in 2020, Tshobeni has been regarded as a promising talent.
He made his senior debut for the Buccaneers at just 18 in January 2021 but was subsequently sent on loan to gain valuable first-team experience.
Now back at Pirates, the attacking midfielder has reportedly caught the eye of Riveiro, especially with the team facing a demanding schedule.
Earlier this season, Tshobeni was given brief cameos in two domestic matches against Marumo Gallants and Magesi FC, along with an appearance in the CAF Champions League against Stade d'Abidjan.
While game time has been limited, sources suggest he could follow in the footsteps of players like Goodman Mosele and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who are getting a chance to cement their spots in the team.
With the season intensifying, Tshobeni may be on the verge of a breakthrough moment in the famous Black and White jersey.

"He is one of the hardworking players I know, and his time is coming. He has been impressive with his work-rate," said the source.
On the weekend, as Bucs defeated Cape Town City, Mosele was brought on in the second half for his first minutes of the season and he didn't disappoint as he scored the winner in the 2-1 victory in Orlando, and Tshobeni could be next in line.
