Nedbank Cup Report: Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 Mbombela 2 April 2016

Mamelodi Sundowns strolled into the Nedbank Cup last-eight with a 3-1 victory over Mbombela United on Saturday.
The visitors had a half-chance in the opening exchanges with a headed effort at goal, but they couldn't capitalise and Sundowns soon took control of the possession stakes.
At the other end of the pitch the Brazilians put together an attack through the left channel which saw Mashaba force a save from Xaba. The ball was parried and fell for Keagan Dolly, but it was an awkward height and he shot over.
Mbombela defended in numbers as they tried to keep Sundowns at bay but their efforts were for naught as Dolly netted the opener in the 24th minute after combining with Khama Billiat.
Pitso Mosimane's men extended their lead in the 69th minute when Zwane did some fantastic work to get past three defenders before setting it up for Cuthbert Malajila to score.
Mbombela got themselves back in the game when a loose ball in the Sundowns area was pounced upon by Siyethemba Mnguni who drilled it home with confidence.
However, the hosts secured their victory in the 79th minute as Zwane turned scorer, netting their third and clinching their place in the last eight.
Here's how they lined up:
Sundowns: Mweene, Arendse, Langerman, Nthethe, Mphahlele (Mbekile 64'), Dolly, Mashaba, Zwane, Soumahoro, Billiat, Mabunda (Malajila 46')
Mbombela: Xaba, Maphosa, Mphahleni, Mayongo, Shongwe, Mnguni, Gumede, Sekome, Nkombelo, Mabuza, Masuku
