Ertugal acknowledged that his team has not been on form lately, but that the Nedbank Cup presents an opportunity for silverware and that his team will be focussed on progressing in the competition.
"We know that we have gone under bad form in the league, but I think the break which we had has helped us rectify some of the mistakes and worked on what we have to do, " Ertugral said.
The former Ajax Cape Town mentor continued to say that Maritzburg will present a challenge in the tie, before adding that he hopes to reach the Nedbank Cup finals.
"We are playing against a good side in Maritzburg United," the former Kaizer Chiefs coach continued.
"If you have seen them play you can see that they have a good team and this is a cup game and anything is possible. We want to win something this season and to do that we have to reach the finals of the Nedbank Cup."
Aces host The Team of Choice today at the Kanyamazane Stadium.
