Matlaba: Bafana Duty Gave Me Confidence

Orlando Pirates' man-of-the-match Thabo Matlaba has revealed that his time with Bafana Bafana gave him confidence against Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.   Read: Ndoro Nets Double As Bucs Cruise Into Quarters   The Bucs captain saw his side come out on top against Ezenkosi with a 3-1 win in the Nedbank Cup last 16, and he believes international duty did him a world of good.    "It was a great game today. Playing for Bafana Bafana helped us a lot. It's not just training or a friendly game. It gave me confidence, playing for Bafana Bafana," Matlaba said after the game.   "I knew we had to get through to the next round and we did that.    "The coach told us, 'Look it's hot outside, we must play to win. We don't want to go into extra time.'   "We knew they would come at us but then we punished them and at the end of the day we won the game."
