The 24-year-old has said that their PSL win over Ezenkosi will count for nothing in what he expects to be a difficult cup tie.
"We have forgotten the past," he told the Siya crew.
"We have forgotten about the win in the league. We have to focus on this game today and make sure we win so that we progress in the tournament."
'Vieira' added that Cosmos are still a tough team to beat, considering that Pirates have lost to them already this season and says that neither team will be able to take the match lightly.
"It obviously won't be easy to play Cosmos as we have already played them twice losing once and winning the other so this one is a real test for both teams," Masalesa concluded.
