Speaking to the media during the Nedbank Cup press conference this week, Dondol coach Vincent Rammoni said that apart from just wanting to win against Pirates, his side will also learn from the current MTN8 champion, as the clashes against SuperSport and AmaZulu were learning curves.
"I didn't know we are the first lower division team that has beaten two top tier teams to reach this stage. That on its own is an achievement for us as a team. We have learnt alot from those two games. We have learnt that we have to make sure we score as early as we can and control the game, Rammoni said to the media.
"But we will learn more from Orlando Pirates in this game on Saturday. We know how they play from the previous games which we have watched but it doesn't mean they will play like that when we face them. Whichever system or players they use on Saturday we will be taking lessons from them which we can go and use in our league where we are playing to win the league and go for play-offs where we hope we can win promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
"But for now, our focus is on the Nedbank Cup game against Pirates. We don't need extra motivation. Playing against Pirates is a motivation enough on its own and the players are looking forward to the game," Rammoni concluded.
