Matsatsantsa take on University of Pretoria this evening in a Tshwane Derby for a spot in the quarterfinals, and Furman says that the players need to convert their performances in training into performances on the field.
SuperSport have lost three of Baxter's eight games in charge so far, but have won their last two games and recently lifted the Gauteng Champion of Champions trophy during the international break.
Now, ahead of the clash with Tuks, Furman told the PSL's official website, "We need to take what we are doing on the training pitch into our performances, and the sooner we do that, the better for us.
"We hope that this will be the first cup competition that we can win under him. So we are highly motivated to win this competition and we can hopefully salvage something from what has been an overall disappointing season."
The two teams lock horns at 19h30 this evening as they battle it out for a place in the quarterfinal draw that takes place on Thursday night.
