Stuart Baxter Believes Kaizer Chiefs Were Excellent Against Platinum Stars

Kaizer Chiefs boss, Stuart Baxter, believes his side were excellent in their 2-0 win over Platinum Stars in their MTN8 Semi-Final clash. A brace from George Maluleka ensured AmaKhosi return to home for the second leg with two away goals and the Chiefs' boss says his team are hard to play against. "Apart from maybe 15 minutes in the first half, where we made two or three catastrophic mistakes in our defending, I thought it was quite an excellent performance," Baxter said after the game. "I think the players came back after losing concentration, and the second half at times, I thought was excellent, we're pretty difficult to play against at the moment. Baxter was also contemplating on bringing on Morgan Gould, after Tefu Mashamaite and Eric Mathoho struggled in the first half. He added: "You've got to make a decision on the spot, you got to say I believe in the player, but is he having a bad night, are his nerves damaged by his mistakes." "I looked at our centre backs and I asked them a question, I sent Morgan to warm up, and I hope that they saw him and they answered me and they both put together very good performances after that.
