Despite an impressive personal display in this past weekend's MTN8 quarterfinal, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, has heaped praise on his teammates.
The 32-year-old veteran proved some of his doubters wrong with a fine performance, even grabbing the opening goal as the Amakhosi went on to beat Mpumalanga Black Aces 4-0.
However, the midfielder refused to take all the credit himself, crediting his teammates and coach for the solid display.
Speaking to Chiefs' official website, Yeye said, "This is a mark of a first step of our journey this season... I am happy to be chosen as a Man of the Match, but all credit goes to my teammates and the technical team. I wouldn't have won this without the teamwork.
"The scoreline looks like it was one way traffic but the game was not an easy one at all. We went into the game without knowing much about Aces. We did what our coach and his technical team told us to do and it worked for us.
"It boils down to the team effort. It is all planned from doing our defensive duties as a team and then attack from there on. I am happy to have scored the goal and as I said, it's a team effort and thanks to my mates."
